Rescue Training

Confined space entry is a large part of our daily activities. We utilize our own employees to perform rescue services in the event of an emergency per OSHA 1910.146 regulations. Employees receive training on how to perform rescue duties and to properly use the personal protective equipment required for entering a possible IDLH atmosphere. Confined space rescues are practiced annually to keep employee's skills proficient. Each individual is also trained to keep CPR certificates up to date.

Confined Space Entry

Most tanks that we encounter require confined space entry for processes such as manual removal of product, repair, and inspections. We classify tanks at our facilities as permit required confined space, under Title 29 CFR 1910.146. Employees receive safety instructions for entering into confined spaces that include hazard evaluation, testing and monitoring procedures, appropriate personal protective equipment, as well as entrant, attendant, and entry supervisor duties. A permit is issued only when procedures and equipment are utilized and in place; the atmosphere has been tested and is satisfactory; and rescue services are available and ready.
