Drumm, Inc.
Company History
The New Ulm Ice & Coal Company originated in the late 1800's in New Ulm, MN. In order to distribute ice, the company would cut blocks from the river during winter months and store it to supply the local tavern and cheese company. The operation became D&H Transportation in 1959, still producing ice to cool rail cars for Kraft Cheese.
In 1964, the company grew to cleaning rail cars and moved to Worthington, MN. Following an invitation by Procter & Gamble, the Cincinnati division was established in 1982 as Harland Drumm Enterprises.
Drumm, Inc. has now been in business for over forty years, serving nationally renowned companies, such as Archer Daniels Midland, Cargill, Con Agra, Darling Delaware, Cenex-Harvest States, John Morrell, Swift-Monfort, Cognis, J.M. Smucker and Procter & Gamble.
